What is “Cottage Bacon” vs. the bacon I traditionally find in the grocery store?
Cottage bacon is made from pork shoulder rather than pork belly, which is used for traditional, American bacon. It is typically leaner, has a round or oval shape, and is cured and smoked like regular bacon. Cottage bacon offers a meatier texture with a slightly different flavor profile—savory and slightly smoky but with less fat than traditional bacon.

How can I order Bulldog Bacon?
You can find Bulldog Bacon at the Aurora Farmer's Market every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, from June to October. Bacon is available on a first-come, first-served basis, or you can preorder online through our website store to secure yours in advance.
Can't make it to the Farmer's Market? We offer local delivery within 25 miles of Aurora (60503) for a small fee. Check out our pickup and delivery options at checkout for more details!
Why can’t you ship my bacon order?
At this time, we do not offer shipping for Bulldog Bacon due to the challenges of maintaining its freshness and quality during transit. Since our bacon is handcrafted, cured, and smoked by Chef Brendan Keller, we want to ensure it reaches you in the best possible condition.
However, we do offer local delivery within 25 miles of Aurora (60503) for a small fee. You can also pick up your bacon at the Aurora Farmer’s Market from June to October.

Can I order a custom flavor for my bacon order?
Yes! Each custom bacon order is freshly seasoned, cured, and smoked by Chef Brendan Keller, ensuring a rich, handcrafted flavor. Because this process takes time, we require 2-3 weeks' notice to allow the flavors to fully develop and the bacon to cure and smoke properly.
If you’d like a custom flavor, please contact us in advance to discuss your flavor ideas and place your request so we can craft a one-of-a-kind bacon just for you!
